Above is a photo of our cottage in Wales, its a sweet little place to live, really cottage inside with large oak beams, this stone walls and an inglenook fireplace that heats the house very well in the winter months. We have a long winter here in Wales, often getting snowed in for a few weeks per year, so our woodburner is well used through the year to keep us warm. |
We have a dedicated studio for our painting, drawing and packing of the portraits. We also have a sofa in there so we can entertain clients. Tom our rescue dog is very content to sleep in the studio for most of the day with us, he has a bed in every room of the house pretty much although he does tend to try to sleep on our under our feet most of the time! We have had our rescue dog, Tom for just over a year now and he has settled in well. He has many problems as we think he was abused in the first part of his young life so it takes him a while to gain any new persons trust, but once he is friends with you, you will be a friend for life. He is very affectionate. Tom has had quite a hard time of it and we have done a lot for him over the years year to help him through his issues, from seeing a number of trainers to a brilliant behaviorist. Tom is pictured above on a little lane we walk just across form our cottage. You can read more about Tom and his story so far on our main website here - Tom the Dog >>

We have a number of resident hens in our garden, from two rescue battery hens to little cochins with feathers all down their legs and feet. They all keep Tom our dog amused, he is frightened but fascinated with them and they see him off at times which is quite funny to watch. Our chicken are more like our family pets and have names - Bunty, Ginger, Carrie, Emily and Phyllis. They are free range and roam the small corner of the woodland we have in the bottom of the garden. They are fenced and well protected from the fox which is imperative if you are going to keep hens. If you would like to see photos See our Chickens page here >> |
