Melanie & Nick - About Us

Welcome to our about us page! We live in a beautiful part of the world in the UK, in a little welsh cottage, thought to be around 300 years old or there abouts. Its a fairytale cottage in that its set in the heart of the welsh countryside with trees and fields all around. We have neighbours so we aren't too rural!

We live here with our rescue dog called Tom who takes up a lot of our time. We have only had him a short while, and he is having professional training as he had some issues from his previous life. He's only young just over a year old and so there is plenty of time to guide him. He was shut in a shed for the first part of his life and possibly abused so he has had no socialization, so our trainer is helping us with this. He's doing really well and we have both learnt a lot about him. He is such a loving dog, its hard to imagine how anyone could have ever been cruel to him. You can see in the gallery photos below how pretty he is!

Our cottage has a large garden with a bit of woodland which is great as we have a woodburing stone to keep us warm in the winter. Nick loves to chop wood and so has a few wood sheds to season the logs in, so the cottage is always toasty and warm and cosy. As you can see from some of the photos below we like to grown flowers and we have a veg garden with four hens - Phyllis, Clarrie, Henny Penny and Emily. I have kept chickens since i was a child so my garden is never without feathered friends!
