The portrait of Prissy arrived Saturday afternoon. Can't believe it arrived so quickly. We are taking it this afternoon or tomorrow to find a nice frame so it will be ready for us to present to Sallie.

Hi Melanie,
The banquet went off beautifully. Sallie had a wonderful evening which was topped off with the presentation of the portrait of Prissy.
Sallie was so touched and lost it for a few minutes when we displayed it to her.
Every time I see Sallie she raves about the portrait and says that she has to pause to look at it every time she passes it.

Mum loves the picture and can't believe how well Nick has captured her. He really has done her justice and she will have pride of place in the living room once the framing is done! Everyone who has seen it so far thinks it's amazing, it's so life like we can't quite believe it!

Hello Melanie,
I chose a matting with a yellowish dried grass color. The frame is a blue/grey speckled sort of barn board looking color. I hung the sketch next to a mounted duck & old calls. If you're interested- the mounted duck was done by a guy locally. he does very high quality taxidermy, he was commissioned by the US Dept. of Fish & Wildlife to do some work & also did some to go to the Simthsonian. So I figure K-Dog's picture was deserving of some good company. He pretty much jumps up & down & woofs at the thing a couple times each week. If he hears birds on TV he runs over & makes sure it doesn't fly away.

Hello Nick,
Just wanted to let you know that the picture has arrived at my parents safely. My mum did open it today to have a look and said it was 'Beautiful'. I wont see it until our wedding day in 4 weeks, I also want it to be a surprise! Even though i haven't seen it yet, what i have seen on Nick's blog page it looks so real!! Dear Both,
Thank you both very much for a 'FANTASTIC' job of the portrait you did of Lily. Mike was over the moon when i gave it to him at our wedding. What i did in the end, i made a small speech and then presented it to Mike and asked him to open it in front of all our guests. Everyone was overjoyed by it, especially Mike! I am really pleased i decided to do this for him. Its something we will always treasure together. Thanks again for everything you have both done. Every time i look at Lily I will think of you both with great fondness!
